 New York Strip Steak

Fine marbling, hearty flavor and a resilient, meaty bite are the hallmarks of what many call the "steak lover’s" steak and certainly one of our most popular steaks.

It’s known as New York Strip, Dry-aged to the peak of tenderness and juiciness, the New York Strip is less heavy on the plate and easy to cut. Sold in packages of 2 8oz to 10 oz steaks.

 T-Bone Steak

T-bone steaks – the classic that offers two unique steak flavors in one.  T-bone steaks from Shepherds Ranch Premium Angus Beef are part filet mignon and part strip steak with its hearty beef flavor – just like its bigger brother the porterhouse.


Direct heat grilling or broiling is best for the T-bone. You can pan cook it if the cut is less than 1 ¼” thick.


Whenever barbecuing, use tongs to turn the meat. A fork should never be used as it will punch holes in the meat and allow the natural juices to escape, causing the meat to lose flavor and become chewy

 Top Sirloin Steak

Thick and meaty top sirloin steaks from Shepherds Ranch Premium Angus Beef are a favorite among steak lovers. These superb steaks are cut from the center of the top sirloin and are perfect for the grill.

 

Brush sirloin steak lightly with oil and place directly over heat source. Grill 6 to 8 minutes, depending on thickness of the steak. Turn once and remove the meat when it reaches desired degree of doneness.

 Trimmed Filet Mignon

The ultimate in Steak– find out why it’s our best selling steak, pure and simple.

At Shepherds Ranch Premium Angus Beef filet mignon is king. Butter-tender, cut from the center of the finest aged tenderloin and hand selected from premium Grass Fed North Carolina Angus beef.  Resturant quality Dry aged perfection at a budget price.

 

This cut is so tender that it should never be cooked beyond medium-rare. The longer you cook it, the less tender and drier it becomes.

Use a dry, high heat method such as grilling, roasting, pan-frying, or broiling.

Cutting into the meat to check doneness lets juice escape. Use the touch method. Touch the meat. If it feels soft and leaves an imprint, it is rare. If it is soft but slightly resilient, it is medium-rare. When it feels firm, it is overdone.

Filets are a thick steak, so grill the sides as well as the top and bottom.
